Our annual Focus on Life fundraising dinner is Friday, March 22, 2024 at 7pm at the Bad Axe Knights of Columbus Hall (1036 S. VanDyke Rd.). The doors open at 6:30pm. See our dinner flyer for additional information. Phone reservations and walk-ins welcome.
Adults are $25 each. Students are $15 each.

Students in grades 9-12 are to research, write and present an original 5-7 minute pro-life speech on the issue of abortion, infanticide, euthanasia, or embryonic stem cell research (including human cloning). Speeches must be typed in full and submitted with the contestant’s application by April 4th. The local contest is April 6th at 2:00pm at the Bad Axe Steakhouse. Please contact Debra Ramento at 918-902-7881 for an application. Cash prizes of $300, $200, and $100 will be awarded at the local level. First place will advance to the state contest. The state contest will be held May 25th at St. Thomas Aquinas church in East Lansing with cash prizes of $500, $300, and $200.
The Right to Life of Michigan Educational Fund awards a $500 scholarship in the spring to one pro-life high school senior. Selection criteria includes a 400-500 word essay on the prompt: Reflect on areas where you believe your character has grown throughout your journey as a young pro-life advocate and how this influences your future goals. Contestants must submit their application and essay to huronrtl@gmail.com by April 19th. Type Essay on the subject line. First place will be awarded $500 at the local level and advance to the state level contest.
The Right to Life of Michigan Educational Fund will award a $200 award along with a certificate of achievement to three outstanding pro-life high school students in Michigan. Selection criteria includes a list of your participation in pro-life activities. The list of pro-life activities and involvement (from August 2023 to August 2024) must all be activities and volunteer work with the Huron County Right to Life and/or state organization (MiGen Leads). The submissions will be judged on a variety of activities, demonstrated leadership, and self-motivation. Students must submit their application and list of involvement to huronrtl@gmail.com by July 26th. Type Volunteer Award on the subject line. Cash prizes of $200, $100, and $75 will be awarded at the local level. First place will advance to the state level contest. Go to huronrtl.org for details.

Michigan college students can take part in a pro-life t-shirt design contest through Right to Life of Michigan. Among other prizes, your digitally created design could be featured in their Pro-life Shop for purchase. Applications, designs, and creative statements are due May 3rd.
